Mastering Geometry and Spatial Precision

This section explores the use of geometry as a tool for creating movement, balance, and visual harmony. The featured projects investigate how proportion, stone placement, negative space, and structural relationships can transform individual components into cohesive compositions. While many of these designs contain significant complexity, each is built around an underlying spatial logic that guides the eye and establishes a sense of order. Whether symmetrical or asymmetrical, the work demonstrates an ongoing interest in creating jewelry that feels dynamic, intentional, and visually resolved from every angle.

Materials and Craftsmanship

Material selection is central to my design approach. Growing up in a family of gem cutters fostered an early understanding of gemstone optics, cutting precision, and the relationship between light and form. I frequently develop designs around the unique characteristics of individual gemstones, using color, proportion, and optical performance as primary design considerations rather than secondary embellishments.

From Concept to Form

Geometry becomes most meaningful when it leaves the screen and enters the physical world. I use CAD modeling and 3D printing extensively throughout the design process, allowing ideas to be tested, refined, and experienced as objects rather than drawings. Prototypes provide necessary insight into scale, comfort, proportion, and construction, often revealing opportunities for improvement that are difficult to identify digitally. This process of iteration helps transform abstract concepts into wearable pieces that balance aesthetics, function, and manufacturability.
