What happens during a virtual jewelry consultation?
During the consultation we talk through your ideas, style preferences, and budget. Your designer can show visual examples, discuss gemstone and metal options, and help shape the early direction of your piece so you leave with a clear path forward.
Do I need to have a design figured out before booking?
No. Many clients begin with only a few ideas, a piece of jewelry they want to redesign, or a gemstone they love. The consultation is simply a starting conversation where we explore possibilities together.
Is the consultation really no-pressure?
Yes. The consultation is meant to help you explore ideas and ask questions. Some people move forward right away, while others take time to think about their design before continuing the process.
Can we work together if I’m not local?
Absolutely. Most consultations happen virtually, allowing clients to collaborate with our designers from anywhere. Many custom projects are completed entirely through virtual meetings, email, and text communication.
Can I meet with you in person?
While Stradley & Daughter is an online studio, limited in-person appointments are available in our shared meeting space in Cheshire, Connecticut.
Because this is a private, by-appointment setting, all in-person meetings must be arranged in advance.

What if I prefer designing quietly over email or text?
That’s perfectly fine. Some clients enjoy live consultations, while others prefer a slower exchange of ideas through messages. We’re happy to accommodate either approach — what we sometimes call a quiet journey through the design process.
