Explore the Gem Vault - Rare and One-of-a-Kind Gemstones

The Gem Vault is where we keep some of the most exceptional stones we encounter. These one-of-a-kind gemstones are chosen for their color, character, rarity, and cutting potential. Many are cut by master gem cutter Jim Stradley, whose work appears in museum collections including the Smithsonian.

Each stone is ethically sourced and carefully evaluated before being hand-faceted to bring out its natural brilliance and personality. These remarkable gems are rich in color and character, and each one is completely unique.

The stones in the Stradley & Daughter Gem Vault have been curated over a long and storied history as stonecutters. They were chosen because of their exceptional beauty and individuality, and many cannot be found anywhere else.

Unlike mass-produced gemstones, these stones are individual pieces. Once they are sold, they are gone.

Many clients begin their custom jewelry journey by choosing a gemstone from the Vault and designing a piece around it.

How it Works

    Reserve Your Stone

    Browse the Gem Vault and choose the gemstone that speaks to you. Reserving a stone gives you exclusive rights to that gem while we begin exploring design ideas around it. Looking for something specific? Ask about our Private Collection — we sometimes have additional stones that have not yet been added to the Vault.

    Work With a Designer

    Once your stone is reserved, we’ll talk through your ideas, preferences, and the story you want the piece to tell. Our designers will help you develop a concept that highlights the unique character of your gemstone while ensuring the finished piece is beautiful, wearable, and enduring.

    Create Your One-of-a-Kind Piece

    After the design is approved, our jewelers will craft your piece using traditional techniques and modern tools. Throughout the process we’ll keep you informed so you can follow the journey from gemstone to finished heirloom.
