A Lifetime of Connection: Your Story through the Eyes of a Jeweler

A life witnessed is a life shared.



I want to thank @apordmandy for the inspiration for this post. These messages are all based on real customers and events.


It’s difficult on an internet that prioritizes an algorithm to adequately explain how this is the most important and life changing part of my job.


What I love the most is seeing people in these flashbulb moments and getting to know about their lives gradually, at first through these "peaks and valleys", as I only see them for special occasions, but then more closely as I learn more about them over the years.


My favorite customers have been the ones who I know so well that I've met their children and grandchildren, celebrated their triumphs as they've shared in mine, and grieved with them during the hard parts of life. I genuinely and wholeheartedly love this interaction, and in a society that claims to value “authenticity” above all else, I hope there is also room for some softness, sincerity, and connection.
